Marrakech Photoshoot Guide: What to Ask Before Booking
A little preparation helps you choose a photo experience that suits your style and understand exactly what you will receive.
Describe the photos you want
A Marrakech photoshoot can be a couple’s experience, a solo portrait session or part of a family trip. Before choosing a photographer, describe the mood you want and the people taking part. Share a few preferences such as candid portraits, architectural surroundings or a relaxed walk with occasional photo stops.
Look at the listing’s examples and ask how they relate to the package you are considering. Portfolio images show a photographer’s style; they do not necessarily mean that the same location, outfit, lighting or number of photos is included in every reservation. A clear brief makes the conversation more useful.
Agree on locations and timing
Ask which locations are planned and whether moving between them is part of the stated session duration. If a location requires tickets, photography permission or a separate fee, clarify who arranges it and whether the cost is included. Avoid assuming that public visibility means a place is freely available for a commercial session.
Light, weather and crowd levels vary by day and location. Discuss the photographer’s recommendation for your actual date rather than booking solely around a generic “best time” claim. Tell the host if your schedule is fixed. If weather or access prevents the agreed experience, contact support and review the cancellation and refund rules.
Confirm the deliverables
The most useful questions concern what happens after the session. How many edited photographs are included? Are they delivered as digital files? What resolution will you receive? What is the expected delivery time, and how do you choose images if selection is part of the package? Ask whether additional images or retouching cost extra.
Also clarify usage rights and privacy. Ask before assuming that the package includes commercial usage, raw files or unlimited editing. If you do not want your portraits published in the photographer’s portfolio or social media, discuss that preference before the session. Get a clear answer through the platform’s messaging system.
Prepare without overpacking
Choose comfortable clothing that suits your intended photographs, and ask whether there is time and an appropriate place for an outfit change. Bring only what you can carry during the session. For children or anyone who needs regular breaks, tell the host in advance so they can clarify whether the experience is suitable.
Read the confirmed meeting point and its note after payment. Allow time to reach it and explain any delay to the host promptly. Respect local photography rules and ask permission before including other people in photographs. Your photographer can advise on the agreed route, but access restrictions still apply.
Check the package and complete checkout
The Photoshoot in Marrakech listing provides the current price, duration and package description. Read its included and excluded items and cancellation policy, then review the total for your selected group. Booking payments are currently processed in USD through Stripe.
If your plans also include a guided city walk, compare it separately with the Marrakech Walking Tour; a photoshoot package does not automatically include a guided tour. Read our Payment Policy and questions to ask a local host when planning multiple experiences.
